The ZV-1, Sony’s newest 4K camera is both a classic and creative piece of equipment. The appearance and main features, such as the 1-inch picture sensor are similar to those of the previous RX100 series of tiny point-and-shoot cameras, but the ZV-1 introduces a few major innovations that fundamentally redefine what cameras are or were.
In this post, I will be evaluating the Sony ZV-1 24-70mm lens, which has been immensely reviewed by several YouTubers throughout the world. It is a 24-70mm lens with a wide variety of concealed scenes. The Sony ZV-1 is a 20MP small camera designed specifically for vlogging.

Design And Controls
The Sony ZV-1 looks a lot like the RX100 series, and Sony claims that the sensor and Chipset are from that camera. Sony, on the other hand, changed several other parts of the ZV-1 to appeal to vloggers, such as the fact that the LCD opens to the side rather than up or down. This is a feature that makes it much easier to arrange selfie photographs while connected to external audio devices.
Because of the camera’s compact size, Sony had to make some difficult decisions about which buttons and features to include and which to leave out all while revamping it for vloggers. For example, the record video button is bigger than on the RX100 series devices, and there’s a light on the front of the camera to let you know you’re capturing. So, isn’t that brilliant? I mean, I’m in love with this baby.
Handling
The Sony ZV-1 has targeted those who already produce movies on their smartphones, and the company hopes to appeal to consumers who aren’t interested in understanding the technical elements of video or photos.
If you’re an amateur vlogger, the Sony ZV-1 is the ultimate choice for you.
It has given the company a wonderful chance to create a new touchscreen interface with straightforward performance operation, comparable to those offered by its competing firms, but their cameras have severely lacked up until now.
Sadly, it chooses not to upgrade which has resulted in the ZV-1 being a less accessible version of the RX100. And, I don’t think that’s a positive indication for Sony.
Bokeh
The camera can catch actual pictures, and they’re great. I’m in love with the results of this camera. The normal bokeh gives it an edge over cell phone photography, so obviously I am a big fan of it.

Auto Focus
Probably the best element I love and find engaging is the way right on target its auto center is, without its new Product Showcase center mode. Incredible for content makers and vloggers, this camera permits me to rapidly and easily hold something up to the camera without missing concentration.
Image Stabilization
I’m a little bit unimpressed with Sony’s Steady Shot electronic visual stabilization. Even when set all the way up, the stabilization is equal to what any recent flagship smartphone can achieve. The iPhone film is significantly smoother than the ZV-1 footage when captured walking.
Slow-motion Video
Slow-motion is fantastic with these cameras, which can capture at 120 frames per second. However, I can also film at greater frame rates but at a reduced quality. The two higher HFS settings, 960 and 480, have very low resolutions. Therefore, at 240 frames per second, the resolution is nearly full HD.
Image Quality
The low-light image had slightly more noise and was a touch softer in terms of details than the RX100 VI. But, the noise had no effect on the color accuracy. When shooting on the street, it is equivalent to the Sony RX100 series. Panoramas mode, both during the day and at night, as well as observing how the Smooth Skin Effect function performed on wrinkles, for the most part, did a good job of reducing them.
Colors And Contrast
Throughout the zoom range, the 24-70mm creates images with beautiful rich color and good contrast. The graphics are sharp and have a lot of punch.
Although it has some of the sterile appearances that many kit lenses have, the bright color and contrast provide a good starting point for further post-processing.
Ports
The microphone, HDMI cable, and charging USB ports are all piled on the right side of the camera, opposite the movable screen, allowing you to operate the camera without interfering with any of those cables. Sony has eliminated a headphone jack for monitoring audio. Although it is uncommon to see video creators using headphones while filming, not being able to check pre-set audio settings will be a problem for some users.
The C1 and C2 keys are without difficulty configurable, but they may be preprogrammed to deal with Background Lens blur and Object Highlight. The Product Display mode might be accessible for vloggers’ advertising matters because it intelligently makes a specialty of a product while it enters the body and defocuses any faces it detects. The Backdrop Defocus choice widens the aperture, permitting the heritage at the back of the issue to be blurred.

Cons
- It has a tiny battery, but to shoot photographs and movies all day, you’ll need at least three batteries and one power bank.
- The touch screen is just used for focusing, for all settings I had to use the buttons.
- After continuously filming for 10-15 minutes, the camera will become hot, but it does not matter because you may record for 40-45 minutes at a temperature of 24 C. - People who make videos while walking can use gimbals with their cameras because the cameras do not have built-in stabilization.
- The camera’s small textured handgrip is meant to offer a firm grasp when the camera is directed at you in a selfie angle, gripping the camera in regular operation can be slightly difficult, particularly for those with large hands.
Conclusion
Despite the minor flaws, the Sony zv1 24-70mm lens is excellent and I want to retain it. With this size and excellent autofocus in both stills and video, this lens is a wonderful choice, and the image results are so clear that you will be amazed at holding it for a long time. As a lens kit, this minibeast is of extremely high quality, and I’m really satisfied with it. After all, you must balance your objectives, budget, and goals before selecting a system that meets your needs.
